Mittels einer Druckkolbenspitze leitete sie Kunststoff durch einen beheizten Zylinder in eine Form. Er produzierte damit in erster Linie Kn\u00f6pfe, K\u00e4mme und Halsketten. Heute vor genau 103 Jahren starb John Wesley Hyatt 82-j\u00e4hrig in New Jersey.<\/strong><\/p><p>Hyatt wurde am 28. November 1837 in Starkey, New York, geboren. Mit 16 Jahren begann er eine Ausbildung zum Drucker. 1868 kam es zu einer Verknappung von Elfenbein, wodurch die Produktion von Billardkugeln stark eingeschr\u00e4nkt wurde. Der Hersteller Phelan &amp; Collander bot 10.000 Dollar f\u00fcr denjenigen, der einen vergleichbaren Ersatz f\u00fcr Elfenbein entwickelte. John Wesley Hyatt begann daraufhin mit zahlreichen Experimenten und entwickelte schlie\u00dflich das Zelluloid. Damit war der erste thermoplastische Kunststoff erfunden. 1872 erfand Hyatt die erste Spritzgussmaschine, um sein Zelluloid automatisch in die gew\u00fcnschten Formen zu dr\u00fccken und Kn\u00f6pfe, K\u00e4mme, Halsketten und k\u00fcnstliche Gebisse entstehen zu lassen.<\/p><p>Heutzutage kann im <a href=\"https:\/\/verschluss.de\/en\/pfefferkorn\/spritzguss_blog\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kunststoffspritzguss<\/a> fast alles hergestellt werden. In unserer Produktionsst\u00e4tte in Simmern entstehen in erster Linie <a href=\"https:\/\/verschluss.de\/en\/pfefferkorn\/kunststoffverschluesse_blog\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bottle caps<\/a> f\u00fcr alkoholfreie- und alkoholische Getr\u00e4nke, f\u00fcr karbonisierte Weine und Sekte sowie f\u00fcr pasteurisierte Produkte. Sektstopfen, \u00dcberkappen, Schraubverschl\u00fcsse und Zierkappen entstehen auf modernen Spritzgussmaschinen mit reduziertem CO2-Gehalt und erh\u00f6hter Pr\u00e4zision, bei bekannt hohem Pfefferkorn-Qualit\u00e4tsstandard.
